Three Stylish Takes on Sinkology’s New Fireclay Farmhouse Sinks

Mar 2018

Sinkology is proud to present Kristan Allen, our design expert and guest blogger who runs the @FarmhouseRedefined Instagram. Kristan is here to share some design ideas and inspiration around designing your home around your Sinkology sink.

Sinkology recently launched its new fireclay farmhouse sinks at Home Depot and they combine the best of style and function. They’re handcrafted with naturally durable fireclay material and reinforced with a signature glaze, which keeps the surface protected and easy to clean. These sinks are designed to be a focal point in your space, providing the versatility you need to capture the style you truly want.

That said, I thought it would be fun to pair each of the three new fireclay sinks with a matching Pfister faucet to create different styles you can build an entire space around.  Each of these combos shows the true versatility of the fireclay sinks – it’s easy to make them work with an existing style or a whole new one. Check out my take on these awesome sinks and faucets…I included a few accessory add-ons (some easy, some a little more involved) to go with each style, too!

Modern Minimalist with the Bradstreet II

The Bradstreet II fireclay sink is the quintessential farmhouse sink. It’s a 30” single-bowl sink that is designed to keep up with the needs of a busy kitchen without sacrificing style. The crisp white finish brings a clean, timeless look to any space.

I paired the Bradstreet II with Pfister’s Kai Faucet in Matte Black for a more modern, minimalist look. The black and white contrast beautifully and the clean lines of both the sink and faucet make this combo stylishly streamlined. Looking for some go-to accessories?  Check out McGee & Co’s Tatine Hand Soap and Thompson Hand Towel. They up the cool factor of this combo with very little effort!

Sleek Transitional with Brooks

The Brooks fireclay sink is a true workhorse – it’s a 33” double-bowl farmhouse sink that offers the best of both worlds: the functionality and convenience of a double-bowl sink and a stylish apron-front design. I love the sleek lines of this sink and decided to pair it with the Pfister Ashfield Bridge Faucet for a transitional look.

True to transitional form, I kept things clean and classic with the crisp white sink and polished nickel faucet.  This combo lends itself beautifully to mixing and matching finishes – a few brass accents like these Mission Drawer Pulls from Rejuvenation and this E.F. Chapman Darlana Lantern would really amp up the style this combo already has going for it. Mixing metals for the win!

Traditional Farmhouse with Wilcox

The Wilcox fireclay sink is perfect for smaller kitchens or even laundry rooms! While it’s compact in size at 24”, it’s big on style with its classic apron front and crisp white finish. I paired this with the Pfister Ashfield Faucet in Rustic Bronze for a traditional take on farmhouse style.  Add a vintage-inspired cutting board collection like this Slice and Dice set from Painted Fox Home and these Silo Stoneware Canisters from Crate and Barrel for instant farmhouse charm!

Sinkology’s new fireclay farmhouse sinks paired with Pfister faucets are literally blank canvases waiting for you to tailor them to your personal style.  You can customize your own look or you can check out Home Depot’s website for sink-faucet kits that are already matched in style-forward combos.  You can also shop the full line of sink accessories like the protective sink bottom grids and Sidekick sponge holders (a must-have in my own kitchen)!
