The Bell: Designing with the Sink in Mind

Apr 2016

We, at Sinkology, have been creating design kits through our Designing with the Sink in Mind series around our most popular sinks to show you that copper sinks can really match any aesthetic, theme, or style you want for your space. You don’t need to feel confined by the color of copper. It really does bring a special and unique focal point to any room, while remaining versatile and stylistically broad – no matter the space.

The Bell copper bathroom sink (1) is perfectly designed as an easy-to-install, DIY drop-in copper sink. As with all Sinkology copper sinks, it is designed to be easy to clean and maintain and is covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Handmade from 18-gauge pure copper and finished in our most popular antique copper, this sink is sure to make an impact in your bathroom.

The Bell is one of many Sinkology sinks that can be purchased as a Design Kit from the Home Depot. We have partnered with Pfister to bring you pre-packaged, all-in-one kits that take the guess work out of buying a sink. The Bell Design Kit comes with an Ashfield Rustic Bronze faucet (2) with a center-set single pump-style handle for a more antique feel. The copper sink faucet also comes packaged with a drain attachment, so that installation is easy and the color-matching is done for you. This kit also comes with our Copper Armor to keep your copper sink protected.

For this particular bathroom design, we were inspired by all the Kilim rugs popping up into kitchen and bathroom spaces everywhere. These bold and beautiful rugs will put your old bathmat and kitchen rugs to shame with their vibrant colors and intricate designs. Subdued spaces with bright flooring really makes your space feel modern, but still maintain a touch of comfort. Underneath this Kilim rug from Pottery Barn, we chose a light gray hardwood to bring in a little of the rustic farmhouse feel to marry the modern rug design.

White cabinets and subway tile would give the space a clean and crisp feel while letting your sink shine. We chose these copper hardware pulls from Wayfair that brings an antique, yet modern finish to your cabinets.

You’ll be able to find the perfect accessories for your counter top at any retailer these days with how popular copper is becoming. This dish from Nate Berkus at Target is a perfect piece for your countertop. Throw in a splash of color with a mason jar or a fun soap pump and your space is set.

This space is a perfect marriage of antique and modern that will be sure to make you feel at home and wow your guests. Now, the only thing that’s missing is a copper bathtub!
